MOSCOW: Three civilians have sustained shrapnel wounds following Ukrainian drone attacks in the Belgorod region. The regional operational headquarters reported that two people were injured in Shebekino, and one in Belgorod.
In Shebekino, a drone struck a vehicle, leaving a man with a shrapnel wound to his lower back. He was transported to the Shebekino Central District Hospital by members of a local self-defense unit.
Another man was injured when a separate drone detonated in the same town. He sought medical attention at the Shebekino Central District Hospital on his own, suffering from shrapnel wounds to his chest and shoulder.
A third incident occurred in Belgorod, where a drone detonated on the premises of a commercial facility, injuring a man who was present at the site. The victim sustained a shrapnel wound to his back. An ambulance crew arrived at the scene and transported him to the Belgorod Regional Clinical Hospital.
Additionally, the drone attacks caused damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure. In Shebekino, an apartment building and two vehicles were damaged, while in Belgorod, two more vehicles and a gas pipeline were affected. In the village of Lomnoye, a private house caught fire; in Pochayev, windows, an outbuilding, and a garage were damaged; and in Smorodino, the roof of a social facility and another private house sustained damage. In Yasnye Zori, an FPV drone strike caused a fire in an apartment within a multi-story residential building; a private home was also damaged. In Borisovka and the village of Zozuli, drones damaged one passenger car in each location.
Earlier, it was reported that a civilian had been killed in a drone attack on a truck in the Belgorod Region.
The tragedy occurred on October 22 on the Golovchino–Borisovka road in the Grayvoronsky District. The truck driver sustained fatal injuries. On the same day, in Shebekino, a drone struck a motorcycle, injuring a man in the legs. The victim was hospitalized in the trauma ward.
